The village church of Reichenthal by patrickjobst The village church of Reichenthal by patrickjobst
This history of this majestic church goes back to the 19th century, so amongst churches it is rather a teenager. Inside there are many precious religious artefacts. One of those is the pulpit of the seven deadly sins, which suprisingly has nothing to do with a popular manga series.

Date : August 26, 2015
Location : Reichenthal, Upper Austria, Austria, Europe
Hiking trail : 10 Mühlen Wanderweg

Looks really great, but wtf is that ultramodern cube thingy in the front oO
They should finally build in historical architecture again and not such
Verschandelungen XD

The cube thingy is the local community hall. Ususally they are all rather modern built, because those halls are all 20th or 21st century architecture.
But you are of course right, not few people often find that combination of classic and modern architecture irritating :)

Ofc a townhall what else, no sense for aesthetics anymore XD
Thanks for the explanation!

I think they could even build in this century beautiful, but there is no Zeitgeist
to do that it seems.

There are both sides of a medal, possibly.
On the one side I can understand your position. Old and modern doesn't always suit in harmony.
On the other side especially in the countryside people are quite proud to have something new clean and tidy as a community hall,
since everything else in those traditional village centers looks old or from yesterday, kind of not up to date in any way.
And how would drive a 70s Ford Taunus when he or she can have a modern car with all its commodities ;)

I would do a compromiss, old facades outside, ultra modern inside.
And of course, in the suburbs or a new part of a city it can be modern,
but the historical center, should be harmonic on style.
Fair enough isn´t it?^^

Beside I read a book, where Germany has won the first world war
and stays a monarchy, and Berlin is a city with huge skyscrapers some
decades later, but they are all in the classical style and made it the
most Berlin city in the world XD

At least Vienna is still rather beautiful.

Your compromise suggestion is fair enough, but the discussion is quite academic, since in 30 years all will be replaced by mosques anyway ;)
Have a great friday :)

Ugh don´t mention this XD I also read the rich arabians don´t wanna take refugees
but pay for 200 mosques in Germany for them...
